The 1987 NIT Championship in Madison Square Garden. -
March 26, 1987 Lionel Simmons and Tim Legler led the Explorers
in a tough fought game that the Explorers lost 84-80.
Lionel
Simmons Scores 3,000th Point -
February 22, 1990 Lionel becomes one of the few to ever score
3,000 points in NCAA history. Over 10,500 people jammed the old
Philadelphia Civic Center. La Salle defeats Manhattan 100-60.

Whistle-Blowing Incident Game vs. St. Joe's 2008 -
The referees had neglected to call an intentional foul against St. Joe's
which should have given the Explorers the final possession. Rodney Green was distracted
by a Hawks fan who blew a whistle from the crowd but the refs did not
request Palestra security to find the
guilty person as they should have. La Salle still wins 90-89.
Double-Overtime
Win Against Saint Bonaventure, A10 Opening Round 2011 -
The game was one of the most corruptly officiated games ever. Jerrell
Williams was called for stepping out of bounds but was not within 6 inches
of the end line. Cole Stefan was thrown to the floor (in this video)
and no call was made. Explorers prevailed 75-73.
